Core Skills Training In NLP |
The diploma course is often called an "Introduction to NLP" or "Core Skills".
It is typically four days or less and serves as a good introduction to Neurolinguistic Programming.
At the end of the course, you should be able to:
- build rapport with someone
- understand what makes the difference between good communication and great communication
- detect the different ways people are thinking, by noticing the non-verbals clues they give
- know how to adapt your behaviour to match those different ways of thinking
- know your outcome - do you really want what you think you want?
- "store" your positive emotional states and go back to them when you need to

Four days is long enough to get a good feel for the core skills of NLP. Much less than 3 days and you probably won't have had enough time to integrate the new skills.
Some companies run single-day courses.
We don't recommend these because it's unrealistic to get the practise time and feedback on all the basic NLP skills in just a few hours. Whilst such a course might be interesting, it's unlikely to help you actually improve your skill levels. |
